Who we are
installerfinder.co.uk is operated by William Arby Limited T/A InstallerFinder.co.uk (company no. 17311291, registered at 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA) — the same business that operates the Install Network platform, which processes enquiries made through this site. What we collect
When you make an enquiry we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, postcode and address, your answers about the property and the work you want done, and — if you choose the “describe your job” option — the description you write and any photos you upload.
What we use it for
Solely to arrange your quote: we review your enquiry and pass it to one suitable, vetted installer (or assessor, for EPC enquiries) local to you, so they can contact you about the work. Photos are used solely to help that installer understand the job and prepare an accurate quote. We do not sell your details, publish them in any directory, or pass them to multiple companies — one enquiry goes to one installer.
Legal basis
Taking the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (arranging your quote), and our legitimate interest in operating the matching service you have requested. Where you tick the consent box, we also rely on that consent.
Who we share it with
The one installer or assessor matched to your enquiry, so they can contact you. Our email delivery and hosting providers process data on our behalf under contract. Nobody else.
Photos
Uploaded photos are stored with hidden location data (EXIF, including GPS coordinates) removed, at unguessable addresses on our own servers, and are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after you upload them.
How long we keep enquiries
Enquiry records are kept as long as needed to administer your quote and our service, and are reviewed periodically. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Email info@installnetwork.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
